Stefan Heymanns is a software engineer and lifelong soccer obsessive, equally hooked on the club and international game, who decided to combine those passions with his love of statistics. The idea for My Club's World Cup struck him watching Manzambi come off the bench in the 72nd minute of Switzerland's second group match and score twice: a national-team moment that, he realized, is also a story about the player's domestic club. This site is that idea, with every World Cup performance credited back to the club that develops and fields these players week in, week out.
